Pleuroploca trapezium is a predatory sea snail that feeds on other mollusks buried beneath sand. Its long siphonal canal allows it to detect prey even when hidden.
The bold striping of the Fox Horse Conch provides natural camouflage among sand and coral rubble, helping it blend into its surroundings while hunting.
